A producer has warned it could launch legal action against U.S network CBS after it announced plans to screen a modern day version of Sherlock Holmes. Producers of the BBC's Sherlock series, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, have said they will take necessary action if the American production Elementary has too many similarities. 'We understand that CBS are doing their own version of an updated Sherlock Holmes', said executive producer at Hartswood Films Sue Vertue.
